Speculative Fiction Crash Course

What is speculative fiction, anyway? How does one go about writing the fantastic? And why is it important? In this exciting workshop, we'll answer these questions by looking at key elements of craft, examining what this grouping of genres encompasses, and discovering the history and influences upon it. There will be prompts and time to write in class so students can explore speculative writing for themselves.
