  • Scrib Fest is officially sponsored by:

  • Free and reduced access supported by 4Culture.

Scrib Fest brings PNW performance writers together for a weekend of professional development, artistic sharing, community building, and networking.

Started in 2024 as a playwriting conference, this annual event has quickly become THE landmark event of the year for our community. In 2026, we’re expanding to two days, adding a festival element, and proudly serving all performance writers!

What’s a performance writer? Why it’s possibly you! We define it as someone who writes for live performance to be received by a live audience. Such artists include playwrights, musical theatre writers, librettists, poets, podcasters, stand-up comedians, sketch writers, monologuists, spoken word poets, song writers, oral storytellers, etc. etc. etc.

Registration

Registration is open! We have reduced and boosted options available if you need a little assistance or would like to -ay-it-forward. Also go here for scholarship applications and volunteer sign-ups.

Past Conferences

We started our annual conference in 2024. The Seattle Playwrights Conference was presented in partnership with Parley Productions. In 2025, we dropped the “Seattle” to include more Pacific Northwest playwrights and presented the Playwriting Conference in partnership with Beyond the Stage Youth. In 2026, we’ve rebranded to Scrib Fest, grown to two days, added a festival feel, and expanded to support all performance writers.
