BiG NEWS! SCRiB LAB rebrands as a playwriting organization.

For the past 3+ years, we’ve called ourselves a little writing org, supporting writers of all genres and experience levels. We’ve been proud to serve over 500 writers from across the US and to host nearly 30 instructors who’ve led workshops and classes in fiction (literary, speculative, horror, romance), creative nonfiction, memoir, poetry, hybrid, and playwriting; we’ve offered author readings, book clubs, play readings, and panel discussions - all online, and all free or at an extremely low rate!

Our decision to focus solely on playwriting is multifaceted. We’ve received a huge amount of feedback from dramatic writers asking for more programming, more so than from literary writers. As we continue to add more in-person programming, we’ll be able to better foster the local community in Seattle where we’re based. SCRiB LAB started by offering a wide net of programming across the genre-spectrum, and after 3+ years we’re ready to get specific and use our resources in a more focused, thoughtful way.
