Financial Assistance for Attendees
If you are unable to pay for any of the levels of registration at this time and would like to attend Scrib Fest 2026, we would love to help you! Here are two ways you can receive a waived registration:
Apply for a Scholarship
We have a total of six scholarships available for eligible recipients: Four to attend one day and two for the full weekend.
To apply, you will be asked to answer the following questions:
Name
Title (ex: playwright, administrator, literary manager, student, etc.)
How do you define “community”?
Why are you requesting this scholarship?
What are your goals for attending Scrib Fest 2026 and how will a scholarship help you achieve them?
Applications are due Friday, May 29. If we receive more than six eligible applications, we will put your name in a “hat” and randomly select the awardees. You will be notified by Friday, June 12. Eligibility is determined by the answers to the above questions.
Sign Up to Volunteer
In exchange for two hours of volunteer work, you will receive free registration to the rest of the day. For four hours of work, you will receive free registration to the entire weekend.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your purchase, the following refund schedule applies:
Up to one month prior to Scrib Fest (May 20), refunds will be issued less transaction fees.
Up to two weeks prior to Scrib Fest (June 6), refunds will be issued less a 10% fee.
Before one week prior to Scrib Fest (up to June 13), refunds will be issued less a 50% fee.
No refunds or credits are available within one week of Scrib fest (starting June 14).
SCRiB LAB cannot provide refunds for any registrant who is unable to attend Scrib Fest, for any reason.
If SCRiB LAB has to cancel Scrib Fest, you will receive a full refund.
