Purpose
Script Lab is a fiscally-sponsored WA state arts nonprofit. The Advisory team is a volunteer group that supports SCRiB LAB’s mission by providing knowledgeable and thoughtful advice to the Executive Artistic Director. It acts as a sounding board, thought partner, and collaborator and fosters the growth of the organization through strategic business planning and plotting.
Eligibility
Our Advisory Team Members (ATM) are, first and foremost, community members who are passionate about the work SCRiB LAB does and can commit to helping support those efforts.
We are looking for people who are:
Knowledgeable about nonprofit arts scene, preferably in Seattle/King County/Puget Sound.
Active in the performing and/or literary arts;
Committed to a year of participation.
Bonus points if you bring skills and experience in one of these areas:
Fundraising
Grant Writing
Marketing/Communications
Event Planning
Time Commitment
One year
Minimum one-year term with renewal depending on participation
Quarterly meetings
Online, full team
First Wednesday of every quarter at 4 pm PT
Monthly check-ins
Online, email, or phone calls
Either 1:1 with Executive Artistic Director or in committee with other ATMs
Day/time TBD
Responsibilities
Participation
Attend all scheduled meetings. Listen, ask, advise, share, and take notes.
Be an expert in your field and share your professional and artistic expertise.
Volunteer at events.
Partake in fundraising efforts, including campaigns, events, and donor solicitation.
Community Building
Serve as SCRiB LAB’s ambassador and help form relationships with individuals and institutions.
Engage new members and help us reach a larger audience.
Positive Support
Be a cheerleader to the staff.
Bring constructive ideas and an openness to problem solving.

ATMs represent SCRiB LAB to the community, and we expect they adhere to upholding the following expectations:
